You should really play the Mass Effect franchise. That game's story, all the civilizations in the Milky Way... just amazing. The Mass Effect universe is in some aspects better than Star Wars and Star Trek, just because of how quickly they work out all the technical limitations that SW/ST intentionally kept vague.
