Where did this happen? My friend definitely got slapped in the face by you. How many dudes have you slapped?

First of all, I'm surprised at the sarcastic or condescending comments (at least that's how some comments are sounding to me). I've always thought that happened significantly less on Reddit than in other corners of the internet. I really admire you for putting this out there for the benefit of others with the same challenges and to answer questions for those of us that are just curious. Seriously, thank you.
I'm a girl, btw. Haven't known anyone personally with real man-boobs. I was just wondering if they ever found any kind of hormone imbalance or other genetic indicator that would explain it for you, or if you're assuming it's genetic in your case because of your dad and brother? Did they do testing before your surgery at all, or was that factor not relevant to the procedure? Also, did health insurance cover any costs associated with the removal, or was it considered cosmetic? I don't know if $7,000 is a typical overall cost or if anyone might be expected to pay that much after insurance…my parents owed $4,000 after my back surgery in college and we had incredible insurance so it's hard to tell these days. It seems like if it was caused by hormone imbalance that maybe insurance should help out with that…I would hope.
Good for you for taking a step to make yourself feel better instead of trying to force yourself to accept something that made you so uncomfortable. I don't agree with changing yourself for the approval of others, but there are instances when fixing something out of your control is appropriate and I think you used good judgment. I hope things are king well of you these days!

I wish I lived near you so we could be friends, Granny! How health conscious have you been throughout your life diet and exercise wise? Obviously you're killing it on the running, do you have any other secrets?

Did the "line up" of people in the relationship ever change over the years? How would a break up work in that scenario--if one person wanted another person gone, but some people wanted that person to stay, how would that play out? Thanks for doing this, it's super interesting to me as a traditional household kid and now a traditionally married adult.
