I like to think of it as a test. If she doesn't laugh about it then it probably won't work out.

Yeah that's basically it. OpenSSL has a feature called a heartbeat where the user can send a message to the server to make sure they're both still connected to each other. The message is usually arbitrary data and a length field to denote the number of bytes of that data. Heartbleed allows people to lie about the length and the server will then spit out the extra data that is stored in the server's RAM.

Dude, you were probably my favorite lost boy in that film. For years when I was going to bed I would yell "Good night, Neverland!!!" to my parents/siblings.
