Don't know if you're still around, but I figure I'll ask anyhow.
What's the hardest part of your job? I read somewhere from a Catholic priest that his favorite and most difficult part of the profession was hearing confessions and giving counsel. Is your similar/different?

Love your work and we're all rooting for you! What can we do to protect our rights and freedoms online? Sign petitions, share certain things with friends, etc?

Yeah- there should be a way to register with the state as a captain of a ship at sea that can do marriages instead of bringing the mantle of the Church into it.

Law student chiming in.
Usually law schools will look at three things (everything else is just a tiny edge): LSAT score, GPA, willingness to pay tuition. Seriously. Joe middle class can get into top 30 law schools by just rocking the LSAT.
And where I am on the West Coast, there are tons of engineers/science majors that go to law school to work specifically on tech concentrations like Intellectual Property litigation (do you know how many patents your average tech company churns out in a year??). So the short answer is yes- there are tons of jobs looking for lawyer/scientists that can understand complicated patents in a specific tech field that can traverse the legal landscape for the company.
