I am not OP, but from my experience from losing weight (currently down 41.5lbs!), your diet is much more crucial to weight loss than exercise is. Exercise is FABULOUS, don't get me wrong. When I started out losing weight I exercised pretty consistently - between 3-5 days a week, for at least a half hour (sometimes even 90 minutes or more). I dropped weight, but what dictated that weight loss was my diet and not my exercise regimen.

I would highly suggest the MyFitnessPal app if you have a smartphone. It will calculate how many calories you should eat per day, depending on how much weight you want to lose (and a number of other factors). Calorie counting can be time consuming, but I found it's the only way I can keep myself accountable for what goes in my mouth. Otherwise I'm just guessing how much I eat and think to myself "well, this SOUNDS healthy, I should eat it!" without really taking into account the fat/calories/etc.

Just my two cents :D
