People totally read art books using non-pulp technology! There are a number of art publishers experimenting with e-books. See Klaus ebooks, for example: http://www.klausgallery.net/ebooks/

Unfortunately few of these experiments are actually very interesting (see the dark pit that is NET ART).

I'm less excited about getting them to print (though of course that would be great), than seeing what you guys could do to make an art e-book experience exciting and cool!
