I asked about the healthcare portion because I've read an article about how some doctors were "over-prescribing" medication to patients at a hospital in an east coast city, so the hospital brought in their data scientists to figure out what was going on. This really intrigued me because these are people's lives at stake and the use of data collection and analysis possibly saved lives from this situation. Thank you for your response and your time.

What would you say to someone that is still in the process of obtaining a college degree, little math/statistics/programming knowledge, but have an enormous amount of interest in data science and wanting to pursue a career in this field? Also, what can you say about data analysis and the health care field?
