To the best of my knowledge, Net Neutrality would not apply to social media companies. It would only apply to ISPs. Regardless, those companies (Google, Facebook, Twitter) would still be able to censor whomever they choose, which I'm actually not a fan of.

Do you believe that companies of a certain size should be beholden to the US constitution like a government agency would be? This would address the issue of large companies censoring the internet.

As someone who works in tech, I frequently see Excel being used for things it really shouldn't be used for (such as tasks better suited for a relational database). Do you all just sit back and smile at this evil you've unleased onto the world?!

More seriously, what are two use cases you've heard/seen and thought "No one should ever be doing this with Excel." and "Wow, we didn't expect this but it's awesome so let's add some functionality to make it easier."?

What helps guide the development direction of Excel, considering it's used for everything (whether it should be or not)?

I'm not an expert, but I read that the LDS was pulling support from Boy Scouts. This would dramatically impact both membership and money. So, allowing girls to join makes financial sense if LDS is pulling away. It's a good way to boost membership for sure. So I wouldn't say it's just an internal talking point.

If you're asking why they are throwaway answers, it's because every time a similar discussion comes up on reddit, those are the answers that people parrot without actually taking the time to consider them. They're an almost knee-jerk response to the question.

Hitting on or dating people at your work is generally a bad idea. Like dating apps, it can work sometimes. Overall I'd say it's a pretty risky thing to attempt. I would prefer not to be called into HR. However, there aren't any single people where I work anyway, so it's ok!

Bars and clubs are more conducive to hookups than actually finding a good partner, much like Tinder. If that's what someone is after, then they make sense as options in addition to apps. Again, while some people can meet long-term partners there, it's rare and generally a bad time investment, especially if you don't like bars and clubs. As an aside, bars and clubs are often so loud it's incredibly difficult to have a conversation with anyone.

Hobby/Meetup Groups are not designed for dating, generally. Speed-dating groups or similar may be the exception, which is kind of like an in-person app. In my experience, most people are not joining the groups to find dates or partners and anyone who joins for that reason tends to be looked down upon or asked to leave.

They're pretty damn good: Aesthetic, power, longevity, usability is all top notch. Also, Amazon vs my local sex shop was about a 50% cheaper option. So, they aren't really priced THAT much differently than the run-of-the-mill stuff.
