Both pawn stars and Hardcore Pawn shows people selling their stuff; almost none of them are pawning it. Is it just due to interesting TV or is it a shift in peoples habits? I vaguely remember the early seasons of Pawn Stars, people would pawn stuff, but you never see it these days.

Have you heard of Posh Pawn from the UK?

They were doing loans, but as you said, interesting stuff (like big expensive jewels, cars etc). But yeah, you are right, 30 minutes of people haggling over PS3s @ $10 probably isn't the best TV :D
