i find it particularly strange that we, humans, didn't think that other animals are 'clever' I mean they all have brains, they all work in their communities, they all live their lives and they all have free will too. Why would we assume them to be any less.

Apologies, my question was not directly targeted at you not believing animals are also smart. I just find it particularly strange that research, like the one done on bees, had been focused on primates and corvids and not others. But then again you can argue theres a limited number of researchers so we have what we have.

Perhaps they do, how can we be certain they dont?
