What is the worst thing you have personally witnessed?

Google and other tech companies have been stepping up their lobbying game in DC over the last few years. If Google does care about privacy and users do come first, why not spend more money lobbying Congress on these issues? It is obviously helpful to do things like make information available and useful to people, especially when it comes to government surveillance. But do you think Google could do more for user advocacy in the realm of lobbying?
