Hello! I'm a PhD candidate at Georgia State researching anaerobic bacteria that can degrade petroleum and its aromatic constituents! I'm just wondering what bacteria you're working with? Nice to see people with a desire to investigate these things.

Well, it's not often that you get to tell a person responsible for memories that stick with you for decades (and likely the rest of my life), and i don't know if you'll read it, but i'm gonna tell you about it anyway.
Prince of Persia was the first video game I ever played. I can't remember the year exactly, but it must have been like 1991/1992, which would have made me about 5 years old. My dad had ordered a PC from a shop in town, a 386, i'm pretty sure with CGA graphics, and he brought it home. He had a couple of games that some people at work had given him, Prince of Persia included, and so my whole family was huddled around the computer after he installed it. We couldn't get passed the first pit jump after you go down from the first ledge and go to the screen to the left (nobody could get the timing right). Eventually i figured out that if you kept jumping consecutively, you could get across.

Prince of Persia became my favourite game. The computer was running on DOS, and i could never remember how to start it, so my parents would write down what to type in to start it on little notes (that i would lose every few days so they'd have to do it again). But whenever i got to level 3, i had to quit because of the "choppers" that you had to go through without them chopping you in half. They scared the hell out of me and gave me nightmares. I blame you for this.

I still love this game, and it still holds up after so many years. I just wanted to say thank you for that.

Anyway, i guess as this is an AMA, so i'll ask a question; did you know that on level three, you can jump to the right off one of the high platforms and the game will glitch out?

Edit; also, sorry for my dad illegally copying your game.
