How did your family react when it happened? Did they think you were going to not make it? Did YOU ever think you werent going to make it?

Jeez, I remember being ALMOST hit by a car once at a traffic light, and it scared the crap out of me. When you were in the hospital did the doctors ever think you wouldn't make it, and if so, were they surprosed by your recovery?
