My fiancé absolutely hates doing physical exercise, but will "work out" several times a week playing DDR. We went ahead and got a metal pad to do it at home so no more dumping money into machines. The best part? You're playing a game! It doesn't feel like working out but damn does he sweat when he gets going! You just have to find what's right for you (:

That's so cool though! Just curious, what did you replace it with? We're kind of traditional work-out-phobics around here...I used to do ballet and switched that with yoga after high school and he, well, ddrs! I find most normal exercise to be so boring and punishing :/

To clarify for you, you're alone in a room 99% of the time, so what you want to do is up to you, pretty much. If you want to get off, no one is really there to stop you, per se.

Source: My father worked on an offshore rig for some years before having me and told me stories growing up. Including, yeah, something about jerkin' it.

Hey Aaron! I just wanted to say that I was having a bit of a crappy morning but seeing this on the front page and reading through all these comments really made me feel better. It's nice to know there are genuinely amazing people out there. Please know we all appreciate you so much.

As for a question, what do you get for the guy in your life that is really into cars and seemingly has every tool possible? haha My FiL is a crochety old man (but I love him so) and has a literal lifetime's collection of tools. I feel shitty getting him a gift card for holidays but I don't know what else would do :/

Oh, and, while I'm here- I drive a 97 mustang, one of the v6 manuals, and I've noticed when I back up (especially if it's backing up AND turning) there's this sort of...pop. Like a shoulder coming back into socket. It only happens once per reversal, no matter how long I drive around like that, and only happens after driving backwards 2-3 feet. I've worked on our car and my husband has worked on our car and my FiL has and we can't find a thing wrong with it. If you have any insight, I'd love to hear it!

this is really long and sorry but last one!...what do you think of Suburu's? :D We're looking at the BRZ for next ride

Not OP but my dad worked on a rig. Everything was covered. They paid for housing, food, etc, usually in one lump sum check. How you decide to spend it was up to you. Smart men saved everything and lived simply, worked a few years and got out, other men spent it all when they got off work partying. It varies, of course, but that was his case.
