What is the primary purpose behind running multiple pen names? Is it so you can explore a niche without expectation, to make it easy for a readership base to find more on the same style or something else again? When do you feel the need to run a fresh pseudonym?

Seriously? Boneheaded move from Reddit given how much AMAs contributed to Reddit being what it is.

That's because they're referring to an article a well known author, Cory Doctorow, wrote recently, coining the term. Maybe you missed it.

Here's the short version:

first, they are good to their users; then they abuse their users to make things better for their business customers; finally, they abuse those business customers to claw back all the value for themselves.

See if you can spot where Reddit is on that continuum.

Money goes from person to person. If it happens to be a point of infection that's being passed around perhaps it's better than ignoring it.

Cash, like any other good, has a life cycle, is often destroyed as a result of wear and tear. This just shortens it a bit.

It's also worth noting that cash isnt necessarily a huge part of the liquidity in a currency, as electronic fund transfers can be significantly larger.

Yes. Serving webpages incurs a cost that gets billed. It's been that way for 35 years or so.
