I can't exactly put into words exactly why this response was so chilling, but it's left me with goosebumps and I'm quite certain that I'll never go to NK.

Sure, it sounds like you're just selling weed legally to someone who has never worked the job before. Sure, you do get a lot of patients that just want to get stoned.

But then you have your cancer patients and your MS patients. . . the elderly patients that rip your heart right out of your chest when they tell you how much you are helping them. There is an enormous amount of compassion and empathy that goes into helping your patients. . . from the soccer mom with bad anxiety to the cancer patient who has no strength because she can't eat.

A lot of the job is fun, but it is also a very serious position. . . especially with terminal patients.
