While Social Dominance Orientation is associated with Right Wing Conservatism and racism, is there or has there been a scale developed that accounts for dehuminization in an anti-hierarchical manner?

You mentioned earlier that increased immigration is associated with economic gain. However, increased diversity in a given population is also associated with a lowering of social capital, Jonathan Haidt.

There are conservatives who may be concerned with the lowering of social capital, but may not be racist. What construct(s) best accounts for the dehuminization of conservatives by liberals, i.e. those who are quick to dismiss conservatives as "racist" if they speak of immigration concerns?

With all respect, I don't feel as though my question was answered.

Your response about the nuances of SDO and the difference between the way liberals and conservatives dehumanize I already understood. It was a part of my graduate thesis. (I've since been working in a different field.)

I wanted to know if things like low SDO are a predictor for liberals who dehumanize conservatives. I understand that SDO doesn't capture dehumanization in its entirety. With that in mind:

What is the latest literature on the constructs that correlate with liberals who dehumanize conservatives?

Thank you for doing this AMA by the way. I feel like it brings a spotlight to a research area that deserves attention.

Actually, it’s more like bipolar patients can have an adverse reaction to medication designed for major depression like SSRIs. It can throw them into a manic state. Anti psychotic drugs may not be the first choice for depressed patients, but they can to help bipolar patients.
