This is so awesome that you guys are doing this AMA! I read somewhere that Orion will feature a "glass" cockpit. If this is true, what are the positive aspects of having digital instruments over analog?

I've heard that solid rocket boosters are dangerous on a manned spacecraft. If true, why is NASA pursuing using SRB's on the SLS?
