Hey Lanni,

So, kinda weird question, but what brought you out to start running with local TO crews recently -- PDRR and Academy?

No question, just a comment. Well, a few comments. I discovered KITH when it first aired and I was about 10 or 11. I was at such a impressionable age and had never been exposed to any humour quite like it...and from a bunch of guys so local, no less (I grew up in Brampton). For better or worse, it shaped so much of my own sense of humour...and, if I'm being honest, my outlook on the world too. It was adventurous, shameless, and confrontational...but at the same time, had a warmth and empathy in its inclusiveness, how it presented its characters, and the level of intelligence and respect it assumed in its audience. It really opened my eyes and piqued my fascination with the world outside of Brampton (which, if you remember it in the 80s and early-90s...well, ugh) and I couldn't wait to dive head first into it.

Anyways, all of that is to say that for all of the people you guys made laugh, I hope you know how many you also opened up to the world. And we're much better people for it. Thanks :)

I live in Canada and work for a company in the US. Because the company's office is in the US and there is no Canadian office, I've been working for them as an independent contractor for the last almost three years...but we always treated it as an employee/employer relationship, other than payroll (I was wired my gross pay and managed my own deductions at year-end in Canada).

I was in a manager role and have recently been promoted to a director one. If the company wanted to sponsor me for an L1 visa, would my time with them as a contractor count towards the one-year requirement? If so, how would we properly document it so that it fulfilled the L1 visa requirements?
