First of, I am not Christian, and I was not raised around Christians. I know more of Catholicism than I do any other Christian group.

Could you give me a TL;DR on what makes the Methodist Church different from other churches? Whenever I've tried to ask people I often get answers that have to do with friends and atmosphere and not theology.

I took a class in the mid to late 90s in highschool called Contemporary Issues and we all had Newsweek as our 'textbook'. It was a very useful thing and it taught me a lot about how to view things.

Is there hope that the new Newsweek will be the thick publication with in depth pieces that it used to be? Investigative journalism over celebrity news? Some semblance of truth over fluff pieces?

Our generation is sorely disappointed in news media. There are so many threads here on reddit and elsewhere asking things like "I'd like to start reading the news, is there a place to start?" and there is no longer a good answer. There is no longer a place that one can point a high schooler and say "This place isn't going to lie to you. It may not be enough news but it will get you started." or "This place isn't a waste of your time."

What can you guys do to restore our faith in the news media?
