i saw when he wakes up, it looks like there were scars on his back. and when he cuts himself, it seems like he's trying to see if he's actually an AI.

if caleb actually died in the car wreck when his parents were killed too, the BlueBook dude could have reconstructed a copy of caleb, based upon caleb's internet search history, to see if that guy would 'let the AI out of the box'
