If only people knew of the dangers before taking up heroin as a hobby.

That still seems like a very strange law to ease back on.

As opposed to the competing theory that not enough sperm taken orally, and cooked (!) is the cause. If I were particularly worried about it, I know which theory I would believe!

Nice answer. I am interested in this, since I believe that "awareness" of mental illnesses has became a whole new industry largely driven by people with very little training (not even a diploma, just very basic training). I think that such people are labelling kids who would otherwise be considered healthy, and then dragging them into a pattern of "therapy", special needs education etc which arguably does more damage than good. I should point out that this refers to the very initial diagnoses, before any real professional involvement.

I realise you are working further along that road but I found it interesting that it seems from your answer that the decision to medicate was probably correct, given that you try to treat them without meds, but they continue to need them anyway in most cases.

So my question is probably this - Do you think that medication is the correct treatment, or do you think that a dependency develops which makes it difficult to take a different treatment path once the medical route has been started. (I do not mean addiction, just an engrained treatment system)
