Well, let's see.... it was going at 14,000 meters per second when it hit. That's 31,317 miles per hour. What do you think happens when you have 1.7Kg object traveling at 31,317 miles per hour impact earth... think hard.

Thanks for sharing that... are you familiar with the Tunguska Event in Eastern Siberia in 1908? The Kulik Expedition made arrangements with local hunters but they were superstitious and would only go so far into the epicenter. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunguska_event
