Amongst other things I'm very interested on your source material leading you to the conclusion that I have DNA that codes for the chemical Round-up because I have been eating food purchased at regular old grocery stores in the USA for my entire life.

Thanks for posting your sources. If you click that reddit link and sort by "Best" the top post is a very good breakdown on why people are up in arms about Glyphosate the active chemical in round-up based on what they've read in the scientific studies.

The results of the paper don't really mean anything except for the purpose the paper intends- that inhaling it into your mouth (or lungs) while spraying it may be dangerous or irritating. You can't extrapolate and say that eating something that has been sprayed with roundup is going to cause DNA damage to your cells, like the human brain likes to do. There is no way you would ever get that sort of 20mg/L concentration into the rest of your body, unless you chug Roundup, as far as I know. On the other hand, just because this article doesn't say that, it doesn't mean Roundup is safe to humans or the environment in all scenarios. Don't knee jerk the other way and ignore everything else you ever read about Roundup because my post has suggested that this paper isn't saying what you thought it said. All things and claims should be judged on their own merit and with scientific reasoning. There is one truth, you just have to dig deep enough and know everything about the subject you are studying, that can be very tricky.

/u/intertron breaks it down very nicely. You need to really consider what these papers are saying before you extrapolate the types of statements you are blasting out. I'm not saying you're right or wrong but when I read something like your first post it's like someone scratching their nails across the chalk board and trying to convince someone else that you're making music

Edit: also be sure to note that Glyphosate does not become part of your DNA. Yes it damages DNA in certain concentrations as observed in that study, but it does not become part of you. This is an extremely important distinction to make.
