suggest that humans created God and not the other way around

That's a really interesting point. I guess in a way I always assumed that, though I never said it in as many words. I was raised in a house with split religion(my dad is Catholic, and my mom attends Unity Church). They are both VERY good about it, and don't try to push anything on me. Even so, both sides of my family are almost all religious to varying degrees. Because of this, my beliefs have been pretty confused at times.

When I was young I just believed what my parents said(just like everyone does), but when I grew older I lost my belief. I went to church until I was about 13, but even then my heart wasn't in it. I grew interested in science, and eventually got into computers. I grew to believe in things that I could see and prove. It wasn't long until it was gone entirely.

I hesitate to call myself an atheist, because I am not really sure that there is no god. Instead I think of myself as a free thinker, ready to believe what is proven to be true(even though my beliefs have yet to be seriously tested). All I know is that I don't know much, but hey, I'm still young :).

Thank you for telling your story. From what you have said, the path can't have been easy. I have a TREMENDOUS amount of respect for you, choosing what is you believe is right, over what is easy, and I know your story has touched many lives(even a few people I know). I look forward to your movie, and hopefully a book sometime after that.

I wish you well wherever your journey might take you.
