To be fair, looking through the post history reveals written evidence from the doctor himself that he never legally obtained informed consent for the surgery at all. The medical staff scanned in a consent form pre-signed by a "witness" and then the practice shredded the paper copy of the chart without ever scanning in any consent form signed by the actual patient. It's a pretty clear cut case of doing surgery without consent if only the patient had taken that written evidence to a lawyer instead of Reddit.

The doctor says in writing that he is certain per his recollection that he obtained informed consent from the patient the day of surgery and that the form must have just been missed, but also admits that there is no documented consent form for the procedure and that there was no witness, so that's just his word against the patient's. If OP wasn't publicly lambasting the doctor and practice and rather got a half decent malpractice lawyer, he/she could have sued the doctor and practice for the negligence they displayed in writing instead of making a bunch of bold and unfounded medical claims. Unfortunately for OP it seems ranting on the internet was their choice.

Does Vicki have a last name?

Were there any repercussions for stabbing Pierce in the face with a pencil?

I think it sounds like a person who suffered a known complication of a surgery and has allowed that complication to unravel their life and psyche, usually mentally fragile people don't intentionally create forgeries to prove their sanity but it's certainly possible.

Keeping in mind, as someone who's worked in the hospital and in pre-op and post-op, even though staff is supposed to check the forms, consents get forgotten, and it's not unusual for doctors to be so busy that they expect consents to be signed ahead of time, and that frequently, witnesses are not present for that consent, even though that is the legal standard.

I'm going verbatim off the signed message from the doctor on their letterhead. Short of OP doing some serious photoshop there is a definite issue with the legality of this doctor's informed consent, not that OP has a case anymore after spreading false accusations across the internet.

Sure but it's a whole different story if OP has made up everything about their experience, it's far more likely they suffered a known possible outcome of sinus surgery and blames the doctor, spreading their story online in an obsessive fashion than that they have made the whole thing up to defame the doctor, forging documents to prove the libel.
