Well that's understandable c: I'm a beginner, got into glass two years ago in a hotshop and made a mushroom in a paperweight. Fell in infatuation immediately, but then i was in a car accident that broke my back and took over a year to recover. This year i found an intro to boro class and started behind a torch. Was looking into attending Salem Community College or VCU to get a degree in glass, but kinda have just dove in and am learning as i go (never really fit into the typical education system :/). I turn 21 soon, and want to make the leap (even though its terrifying) and buy an actual torch since this is what i want to do with my life. i'm on a hothead soft glass bead making one now and its sooo frustrating, MAPP gas goes to quickly. I found an old skutt GM 10F kiln, so have that but do you have any recommendations of a torch to start on?

Would you ever consider an apprenticeship?
