Oh, but they should be. If I hear Adobe, I think of Flash and Acrobat Reader, which are less than stellar products. I think Photoshop has a much better reputation.

I'd be interested in that, too. I'm regularly receiving mails from recruiters who obviously haven't looked at my CV ("what career plans do you have after finishing your PhD" - says on the first page of my CV on my webpage that I finished it 5 years ago), won't provide any details about the job specifics and ask me to send my application material. Do they just forward that to the employer and then get a cut in case my application is successful?
