Your education is an investment, not some guarantee to live the life of your dreams. Once people realize that majoring in poetry at a 60K/year school is like investing your retirement in Enron, we can stop living in debt.

Seriously - jobs are out there. Pick a field that isn't trash and you can get a job. Then find a school that's affordable. Go to community college. Stop buying expensive meal plans and on-campus housing.

If this was anything else, "how do I not go into debt eating 45 pounds of beef every day," How do I not go into debt buying Ferraris" -- you stop buying those things you can't afford would be the obvious answer. No, you don't have to go to college, and if you do, you don't have to go to the most expensive one for a major that's essentially a hobby with no way to turn into enough income to survive.
