To what extent has Tor source been audited? What do you think the chance is that Tor itself has been compromised?

My experience is old (enlisted in 1988) but here's how it worked for USAF back in the day...

You could be promised a job in your contract, but that didn't mean the job was actually available. What it meant was you would find out on the end of basic training if it was actually available and - if it wasn't - you could go home with no repercussions.

In reality, most people who went in with guaranteed jobs ended up staying in but doing something different from what they were guaranteed.

Totally unrelated bit of trivia... I found that the USAF has a higher required ASVAB score to be a cook than to be an MP.
