My wife is currently working from home and caring for our toddler at the same time due to the daycare closures. I am unable to work from home due to my job role.
we are having a second baby in july and she had initially planned to take some paid vacation leave beginning early in june and then just roll that into her maternity leave and EI benefits. If she were to take unpaid leave to care for our toddler and receive any of the government stimulus packages, would that affect her EI benefit during her maternity leave?
she has been continuously employed at this company for ~3years.
thanks!
