What do you think about the belief that the SNP promised a referendum due to the difficulty of getting the outright win and therefore panicking when it happened? Devo Max seemed to be what they were pushing for recently (pre '11) with the overall aim of Independence looking to be more gradually achieved as we were granted more powers.
