In a nude model course I took there was a student who drew enormous breasts in every picture despite the model having B cups. My professor finally said "Please look at the model. Her breasts are completely out of proportion in your drawing." I would think you'd like to hear a teacher reprimand a student for sexualizing you. Keep the creeps in line!

Do you still follow the traditional religion you were raised with? If so, what are your feelings towards those who convert to Christianity within your community?

I spent some time on a reservation in New England and missionaries converted most of the community to Christianity. The people who remained with the traditional religion were not happy about it and were struggling to re-instill the traditional beliefs and values into children/teenagers. However, the community was/is small (just a few hundred people) so I am not sure if this is an issue seen throughout larger and different native communities.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend's passing. Please keep in touch with Salem over the years to let her know how much she meant to Betty and to give her stories about her mother. My friends who lost parents at a young age wish they could have known more about their mom/dad and who they were as a person; even as adults they become very emotional about not knowing enough about their parent who passed away.
