Quoted like a true Marine.

Why are you using the 22 suicides a day line, when it's simply not accurate?

The study being quoted explicitly says not to use the number.

Nobody is saying this isn't a problem; stop projecting your own bullshit.

I think that using an inaccurate statement for any purpose is not a good idea. Period.

Aaaaaaaaaand here comes the projecting. Knew this was coming.

Nobody's it's saying it's not a problem, sweetheart. We've all lost friends, your own sob story doesn't hold when you're talking to other vets visiting their friends in Arlington this weekend. Don't toss that bullshit out here like it means something, it doesn't.

I don't think misrepresentation is a good way to get things done. Lying is bad, period.

The same VA study that explicitly stated it should be interpreted with caution, several times, and not used out of the context of the entire study? The one that had some wild inaccuracies, like including people who weren't actually Vets? The one that said the body numbers, like trends in suicide vs. usage of resources, was far more important?

That's what bothers me about that number being tossed around. It's just...not accurate, and it's being used far too literally.

At least the second part is correct.
