So much Twin Peaks...Finally a DH question! Love it!

I heard that Kyle originally wanted to be an evil character (that’s why his first scene is with that mysterious lady at the clinic that never gets mentioned again). Apparently the cast clicked so well they kept him a nice guy until S8 they let him be the villain he originally requested.

Is that true?
