I've had several as well. 3 to be exact; two times in my right lung and once in my left.

The 2nd time it happened in my right lung they did the rubbing procedure, which seemed to help quite a lot.

My experiences with it was horrible though - the first time it happened I went to the doctors not really knowing what was up. They concluded that the lung was collapsed, but not enough (!!) for any procedures to be done, so I was sent home. A week later the pain was so bad that I went back, and this time they admitted me.

The 2nd time I got admitted straight away, so that was fine. Waking up on morphine and a shitload of pain was not fun though.

The third time (left lung this time!) was in another city. I was chained to the hospitalbed for 3 weeks with the god damn tube inside. That was my worst experience with it.

The pain isn't so bad -- its manageble. The worst is just laying there waiting for the lung to reinflate.

God damnit. Haha. I'm still bitter about it, and the last one happened like 7-8 years ago!

Yeah when they remove it is the worst! The doctor I had pulled it out so quickly, some "lung juice" sprayed all over. Haha.

Wish you a speedy recovery and cross my fingers it won't happen to you again. :)

I've only had a catheter once -- NEVER again! The worst shit ever, having someone sticking a tube up my schlong. I much prefered when they brought me the cup to pee in. Haha.

I know, right? In retrospect I probably should have been more adamant, but hindsight 20/20.

Even though health related issues in Norway are generally good, shit falls through the cracks sometimes. Heard of several cases of negligence from the "legevakt", which is a prelude of the actual hospital (have to go there first generally, unless its a matter of life and death).
