Yes be careful. My advice is always: Try nothing that most people are trying to stop doing.

Yeah I guess I'm 'lucky'. I have the opiate puke gene. My dad too. He's been in hospital and alternating between 'I need pain killers!' And 'No more morphine! bleeeeegh bleeeeeegh'

I can talk about morphine: It feels like you're being detached from your world and receding inwards into your body. Everything feels like its at the end of a tunnel. And your brain feels disembodied and your body soft and warm. Any pain will feel distant. I dislike this sensation though, I don't like the world slipping away and out of reach.
However you may also have the gene like I do that makes the whole experience nauseating. So you feel like your on a spinning office chair for hours and hours. And then random puking.

Yeah seriously. I'll try to only take it again if its life and death level pain. Really.

It sounds like lots of things we try to achieve... But with higher highs and lower lows. Good habit/bad habit on Hard mode
