I always honk and wave at you guys. It seems to make you happy. Does it? Because seeing you dance and wave and smile always makes me happy.

I used to work near oceanside, CA, USA. There was a sign twirler for a sandwich shop. He had long, flowing hair and rocked his sign like a guitar. The guy was so metal and so awesome. He always made my day better.

Ray Odierno.

I was with TF Hawk in Tirana, Albania in 1999. Ray Odierno was a colonel with 5th Corps. The conditions were exactly as you describe. Absolutely deplorable. LTG Hendrix was the 5th Corps CG and reamed (then) BG Cody for the conditions. Odierno was just as much at fault. I can't believe he didn't learn anything from how bad that was.

Then he goes home to his family, still in the suit. His hates his wife's cooking but tries to not let it show. They sit down for another tasteless meal with her and their two kids, he still in the suit. She goes on and on about how rough her day was. It's all baby poop this and soccer practice that. Meanwhile, he just drifts off in his mind, back to twirling that sign in all his glory.
