Fungi are grown with a carbohydrate source for at least part of their food base, there are plenty of GMO grains and sugars out!

There are quite a few industries that depend on plastics to function. Having microbial or enzymatic solutions for those industries is necessary.

Goes back into the underground tanks. I hate above ground tanks and wish they would disappear. I have a couple of those in my territory and I either have to climb a ladder to dump it back in or carry along my portable pump.
