I heard that that the stars at night look really wild in parts of Australia. Was this your experience and/or do you pay attention to them in general?

That's cool. I lived in Hawaii for awhile and found it interesting how different they sky looked from where I group up in Northeast with Big Dipper in a different location entirely. I guess the Polynesians used to navigate using the Southern Cross which only appeared in Spring (if I remember that astronomy lecture correctly) :)
