My best friend of 25+ years& an 18 year old I babysat both had/had NF. Please make sure you get MRIs (esp. Of your head) every 4 years.

Yes please see a specialist asap. My best friend's tumors grew, causing behavioral changes, eventually leading her to commit suicide. Her specialist said that head MRIs were needed every 4 yeats.

My best friend started getting the tumors in her head I her very early 20s...around age 28 they started causing massive behavioral changes before her next MRI...

My 2 friends who have/had it both had ADD and some clumsiness. My best friend was extremely smart though- she got her Masters and was a social worker.
