I loved hearing you talk about your adventures in game development on a podcast recently. As a guy who has drifted away from programming over my years of employment, it makes me want to jump back in.

How about the Monty Python line "Fun at parties!"

Very interesting, and nicely illustrated! I took two years of high school Spanish, which helped me to follow that pretty well. :-) French has its own crazy grammar rules and exceptions. That was just a simple example.

As a native French speaker, I recognize a similar ambiguity when it comes to "you" because there is a singular and plural, but there is also a formal and informal use for those pronouns. I also appreciate the cultural heritage of y'all, youse, you'uns, etc. Until recently, I never noticed "Your guys" and the like. Maybe I wasn't paying attention. :-)

Over the past few years, in conversation I have noticed more use of the possessive overkill "Your guys' <whatever>" or "Your guys'es <whatever>." Why do you think it's become insufficient to say "Your"?
