This has been my exact experience. If the proper boxes are not checked, the statistics looks bad and from what we're being told, that will drastically affect reimbursement of up to +-10%. All medically necessary things were done but if enough bureaucratic checkboxes leak through the crack, the physician is heavily penalized.

I'm completely in favor of using technology to aid and transform medicine but obscure checkboxes and mandatory clerical work for every single patient visit is effectively a labor tax.

Thank you for your reply.

Hi doctor ZDogg, what do you think about PCHM 2.0 and the effects it will have on primary care physicians? It seems that PCPs will become responsible for a massive amount of information such as collecting all consultation reports from specialists as well as be held accountable for patient preventative care even though some patients simply won't get their proper screenings done (lack of time, concern, interest, etc)
