Similar story here.... The guy on the bike was wearing a hoodie and, on a road where the posted speed limit is 55, crossed 15 feet in front of my car.

Destroyed my hood and windshield, as an example of how much force a car going at 55 causes. I instantly cut my car across both lanes of traffic to protect him from getting run over or hit again. He would up dying there or on the way to the hospital (cannot remember).

Through video footage (happened in front of a gas station) and eye witness', i wasn't charged with anything. His family never sued me.

Yes. His family. That was the hardest for me. It messed with me for a while. Taking a life is never an easy thing to swallow. I know I did what I could do to try and avoid it....but it was a bad location and bad timing kind of thing.

Good luck. If you want to talk PM me.

I will also add that I've worked with some downright dumb EMR/EHR vendors. I was hired to do conversion between an older system and a newer system. They attempted to not pay a portion because the MRN's (Medical Record Number) were different.......

The MRN's were different because they PAID someone to look at old system and enter in patient demographics into new system. Once they finished the 50k+ (!!!) of First Name, Last Name, Address, Social, etc - they realized how long it would take to manually enter all of the rest of the info.

I told them "sure, No problem - send me the demographics export from the new system and I'll give you a lookup table so you can match them up". Nope, can't do.

Verizon went down to around $65/mo when I was out of contract. I won't lie - they have the BEST coverage where I am. Sprint was/is a joke, I refuse to give AT&T any of my money (screwed me years ago, "fake" 4G non-lte, etc) and T-Mobile is good...they just have several "dead" spots here.

My last months bill was $21.73 with google fi. I love the service and price. Is verizon better? Yes. Triple the cost better? No.
