Oh wow, what a great question. When I was first diagnosed, I was certain I would die imminently. I thought my 6-8 month prognosis was optimistic. It was about 6 months in that I really became confident that it could do either way and I could live with cancer as a chronic disease.

I don't talk about it a lot and try to focus on the scientific research publicly, but you're absolutely right: my healing journey put me back in touch with my spirituality. I'm finally able to be present and grateful for every moment I'm alive.

Because of this, I sincerely believe that terminal cancer is the best thing that ever happened to me.
