I'm with you there :/
I went to a local sports rehab place after tearing the meniscus in both knees from jits (I can now tell it's been an issue for years, but the symptoms are now far worse). If I try to bring either heel too close to my butt my knee suvluxes.
I never played sports as a kid. I was fat until I was 22 or so (30s now) when I took up lifting. The physio discovered I avoid my glutes in all my lifts and keep a wide stance to compensate for an externally rotated hip. I also have very lose joints in general ("oh, you're double jointed!")
Focusing heavy on glute utilization for squats and deads helped my knees out massively. When I dead how I used to, entirely with my quads, I can put up far more weight, but even after a year of working on glute focused deads I'm only lifting 90lb or so.
For my shoulders, focusing on upper back and core.

For the record, I thought the wardrobe was awesome!
