We were in the same math class for a short period of time back in high school. I was a new student and you showed up at or school a few months into the year. You were like a unicorn and I never had the courage to say hello. Then, soon after, you were gone. I've always felt bad, that I never reached out to a fellow human being who was in a similar situation.

So, "hello" 20 years too late.

I'm glad to see you're doing well and wish you continued success.

A question then, If you had a time machine, where and when would you go?

That's very sweet, thanks.

I see a little bit of unicorn in my eldest daughter. She's sensitive, wise beyond her years and speaks fluent horse. Also, being a ginger in a latino-arab country makes her stand out a bit.

We are preparing for a move back to Canada this summer. She will soon be very much like you were. A girl in a class room, surrounded by staring eyes and a million unasked questions. I would like for someone to say "Hi" in a time where I failed to years before.

Any advice for a young girl (8) about to uproot, start a new life and keep from shattering her image of self?
