in addition to what OP says, its hard to follow these two religions at the same time because (at least in islam's case) its repeatedly commanded to be wholly loyal to only that religion and follow all of its teachings and "traits" as you mention so if the kids were raised with the two religions itll be pretty much impossible unless an entirely new religion was made.
