Why do you not agree with votes for prisoners. I'm on the fence about this issue personally but I would like to know the reason behind you stance.

Hi Ruby. I know this is a silly question but which priory did you go to? If you don't want to answer that's fine.

Also what do you think about the diagnosis of personality disorders? I have a couple of friends who have been diagnosed with BPD, and except for one of them I would not agree with it being appropriate.

I guess the idea of a personality disorder is that it's something that cannot be "treated," but only "managed." This is a concept that I disagree with. They seem to be a lump term for people with various issues or complex needs. I would add that as well that the few people I know who got that diagnosis were all really young, around 18/19 and moving from CAMHS to adult mental health services. This seems like far too young an age to give people such a term, especially with all the stigma surrounding it.

I was only wondering because I had a stint so to speak in the one of the priory's places (although in the adolescent unit.) I had a horrific time there. However for adult treatment, they seem to run much better places.

Tell me more... are they hush hush or is there a way for a member of the public to buy them?
