Do you get it clear with people or are you hiding the reason behind this in order not to provoke funny looks or whatever else you might feel bad about? I'm not certain which kind of people you tend to surround yourself with, but I am in fact curious whether a girl hitting on you just gets dumped thinking you don't like her or leaves aware of the problem it might create (granted it isn't some random chick you just met a week ago, of course).

Yeah, definitely. I would never like to have children that will afterwards have to undergo treatment or rehab of any kind, even if I really wanted to, especially being sure it would by no means be 'healthy'. It's really difficult for the child, sure you might say 'at least he's alive', but damn what kind of life is it, seeing all your friends going to school and playing outside, while you're stuck in hospital unsure of your future? I find such parents selfish.

I also believe legs are in general way stronger than spinal cord. That would make sense, wouldn't it? So basically legs might not snap, but the same impact transfered to a much weaker point makes it fail.
